I remember the day I realized that I was on the computer doing *nothing* when I could be in the other room on the floor with my son playing a game. Computers consume so much of our lives now, and as easy as it is to look up a recipe online based on what is in my fridge,I need to not get caught up on the internet. I have to be steadfast in pursuing TIME with my son. It is the best thing we can give to our kids, and it is what they will remember - not the video game he got for his birthday.
When he comes home on Friday.....we are continuing our marathon of Monopoly. (I am doomed - he owns three hotels - and I have $42.)

Blessed to have jobs!
Just thought I would give praise today for the blessing called "income" from us working moms. If we can focus on our energies and gratitude toward our kids and our abilities to keep a job in this crazy economy, and minimize any guilt that the world hurls at us, we are going to be healthy and our kids will notice!
