Computers

I remember the day I realized that I was on the computer doing *nothing* when I could be in the other room on the floor with my son playing a game. Computers consume so much of our lives now, and as easy as it is to look up a recipe online based on what is in my fridge,I need to not get caught up on the internet. I have to be steadfast in pursuing TIME with my son. It is the best thing we can give to our kids, and it is what they will remember - not the video game he got for his birthday.

When he comes home on Friday.....we are continuing our marathon of Monopoly. (I am doomed - he owns three hotels - and I have $42.)

Signing off,
Mom to "Tall shorts"

  1. I have put too much pressure on myself for being a working Mom because I try to make up for everything I can't do during the week. I was going on little sleep and feeling so worn down that I said screw it and decided to go to sleep at the same time as the boys and it has been a lifesaver for me. Then I can get up early and have the energy to do the things I want to. My house is a disaster because I'm not cleaning it at night but I don't care anymore. And I had Thanksgiving here and didn't care that it was not perfect. Maturity for me (ha ha)... Thanks Shelly for doing this site.
